You can’t tell a lot about a mushroom shaped rock. It’s one of Barbados’ signature sights so it worths the visit. The shore looks different on this side of the island, so there are a lot of opportunity to take great photos. There is even...More

Rough ocean, ideal for surf with natural warm water pools by the ocean. Rock formations alongside the Atlantic and great summer houses.

This spot on the island is very different from the south and west coast. Beautiful, rugged . Walk the beach , listen to the pounding surf and take lots of photos.

if you come to Barbados you must visit the east coast. The rollers are dramatic. The sea breeze is pleasing and takes the edge off the heat. Even in the height of the season you will find peace and space on this beach. Bring a...More

It is a stunning beach, but not for swimming as the currents are too strong. There are restaurants and cafes from which to enjoy the views, and nearby tourist attractions too.

This is such a beautiful beach. Obviously you wouldn't swim from it but it is just delightful to sit by it, with a picnic lunch, and watch the waves. Spectacular!

Stunning coastline with big waves and strong winds - perfect for the annual surf boarding comps which happen here. No swimming from what we were told as it is so rough. Very beautiful to look at though!

A must if you visit Barbados, the contrast with the Calm Caribbean West coast couldn't be greater, long deep sandy beaches with roaring surf. Pleased to see that overall it remains undeveloped. We hired a car and took a walk on Cattlewash Beach, then up...More

No, it has not been affected. However, keep in mind that the Atlantic ocean in Batsheba area is rough, the beach is rocky and though scenic for watching, it's not good for swimming, but best suited for surfing. It's a good... More

I would agree with other people the sea on the east coast is suitable for surfing but there is no place to moor a boat in Bathsheba, get the bus from Bridgetown, it’s 2 Barbados dollars each, great value and a lovely journey.
