We booked online which I always prefer to do, quick and easy. On the day we called to bring our booking time forward and they were very accommodating. We did the Milk and Caramel tasting flight which we really enjoyed, then we stayed for some hot chocolates.
The place is very quirky and cool, the staff are friendly and polite and the chocolate delicious! I felt like the prices reflected the quality of the product, which I am currently enjoying at home 😊 I’m delighted I came across this place, it was something different to do and we really enjoyed it, especially after being out in the rain and cold all morning.

We enjoyed the tour - didn’t realise the complex process and importance/difference of beans in flavour.
We did the tasting which also provided a great opportunity to savour the different flavours and notes.
I now have a greater appreciation of the craftsmanship and skill required.
Staff were well informed and really helpful.
Chocolates are fairly priced considering the skill and expertise with beautiful presentation.
A must if you enjoy chocolate.

Most of us like chocolate, not me though, but with three couples out doing touristy stuff on a cold February day in Scotland, it was a case of Dewar's Distillery ('oh no, not another whisky tour') vs Highland Choclatier ('oooh, chocolate') so our wives' votes prevailed and we ended up at Iain Burnett's. We didn't do the full tasting but we were able to view the interesting exhibition, browse the gift shop and purchase some chocolate. We had some rather excellent hot chocolate drinks in the chocolate lounge and a couple of Iain's chocolate selections to accompany them. All very enjoyable, though somewhat expensive, but then again, you get what you pay for. Although the product is chocolate, this experience is strictly for adults. There are some children's items available in the shop but I doubt there are many adults who'd think they're worth the price for kids too young to appreciate the time and effort that went into their production. All in all a good experience, but mostly for adults, and there are some nice gifts if that someone special in your life is a chocolate lover.

We took a detour to visit this place not knowing anything about it. It is in a wonderful location and the chocolates are very well presented and marketed, though quite steeply priced. The staff were helpful but could not give details about the calorific values of chocolates which was a bit surprising. Overall all good place.

Stopped at the café and had some hot chocolate and fudges cakes, both were excellent.
The surroundings are quirky and fun and everything has a polished high end look about it, would not hesitate to visit or recommend to anyone who is a fan of chocolate or wants to the the chef's at work.
This would usually get 5 stars and if reading this and you are not bother by the price of chocolate then assume this is a five star review.
The café for me was reasonably priced for the quality and surroundings. The chocolate, for me, was no doubt superb but very premium prices, but I appreciate the chocolate is award winning, it just seemed high to me.
Anyway, I would heartily recommend you visit and try the superb hot chocolates and cakes.

We had drinks, cake and chocolates in the cafe which were just out of this world! The service was amazing in the cafe. The interior of the cafe was also top notch with lots of quirky things to look at. The shop itself was fab with trinkets and of course chocolate to buy. The chocolate is expensive but it is also honestly the nicest chocolate I have ever tasted. Chocolate to savour! Lots of interesting info also on the origins of chocolate and how it is made etc. Much more than just a chocolate shop. Highly recommend 5*

My husband and I visited here during our stay in Pitlochry.
I had previously ordered chocolates online and I was really looking forward to visiting.
We arrived at 15:35 and was very disappointed to be told by staff that we couldn’t get hot chocolates from the cafe as the machine gets cleaned at 15:30 despite the cafe and shop being open until 4… We did get offered teas but declined.
We had a walk around the shop and purchased some chocolates. When we went to exit the shop into the car park we had in fact been locked in at 15:45. Not what you expect for a shop advertised to be open until 4. Very disappointing - if the shop is to close earlier than stated times maybe the opening hours should be modified to reflect this.

We were all very disappointed with the food at the Highland Chocolatier. We ordered scones with jam and cream expecting; a homemade scone or at least a scone resembling a handmade scone, a preserve or jam or at least one made from real fruit and fresh cream. What we got was what can only be described as a scone of nothing more than supermarket quality at best, a tiny glass jar of average jam the kind you get at a motorway services (hope the glass was recycled) and a small pot containing a portion of spray cream which let’s face it ain’t cream - it’s barely even dairy. Just how does this qualify as a cream scone treat? They do not even offer cream to accompany their coffees. Not what you’d expect from an artisan chocolatier. Because He is just that, an artisan chocolatier. Just such a pity that the food they serve in their cafe, especially the scones, does not come close to being even in the same vicinity as quality of the chocolate crafts or the quaint setting of the cafe. On the upside the staff without exception were all excellent. Very attentive and welcoming.

My wife and I loved the two tasting options at these marvellous premises which combine a shop, cafe and production site/kitchen. We loved the headphones and all the detailed information and commentary.
We had a fabulous experience, and bought some chocolates from the shop as we left .
Exceptional quality at reasonable prices.

What a huge range of chocolates ,the range and quality are excellent . Friendly and helpful staff . Very difficult to resist . A word of warning this shop will seriously affect your bank balance / If you are looking for cheap chocolate go to Tesco if you want exquisite flavour and quality you have to pay for it . There is an excellent cafe as well which we did not visit this time .If you are in the area it is well worth a look in
