Drive up was lovely. Road was windy and steep but not narrow. Views over lake were great. Some parking but not a huge amount. Road got busy later in day.

Worth diverting from the main road at the top of the Col de Meraillet, or pausing on your way to the Col du Pre.

Starting point of many walks, hikes and trail runs. As good in summer as for winter activities. À true wonder and corner of paradize. Only accessible by foot in the winter as the roads are covered by snow, giving the place even more peace.

Stunning resevoir surrounded by high peaks with a number of small restaurants overlooking it, one just below Col de Pre has a particuarly good view.
