Didn't know they existed, until a local told us where to go. It is such an historic part of Osimo and should be advertised more so people can fully appreciate the town's history. Loved it.

It was worth waiting for Simone the English speaking guide to be able to take us round. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we learned a lot about the long and varied history of these man made caves.

My wife and I were very fortunate to have a super guided tour in English with Simone (sp?). Our tour with just the three of us was not rushed and Simone's enthusiasm about the history of the caves was contagious.

We understand enough Italian to do the tour in that language. it was super interesting. If you don't speak Italian, wait for the English language tour or you won't get much out of it. We enjoyed seeing these underground tunnels and hearing the various uses...More
