Our English speaking tour guide (Asouane?) was wonderful- very well spoken, and he did a great job customizing the tour for us (2 adults and a ten year old). It was very cold, but we very much enjoyed the tour and warmed up in the gift shop after. Would love to come back for a warm weather tour and to... More

As part of a Conference, we visited the Huron Wendake village - the guides can trace their ancestry back to the tribes who lived here which adds to the authenticity of the site. We had a great walk through the lives and times of the Huron and got a great insight. If you visit this attraction, I would urge you... More

This is a definite must do if coming to Quebec city. I would recommend however that you call through first to find out the guided tour times. I missed the guided tour the first time I went, as it was winter the tours are a lot less frequent, so I decided to return and I'm so glad I did. First... More

Interesting and informative. We always try to find something a bit different and this was it. Great guide, good history lesson, We would have starved to death if we had to depend on my archery skills for dinner. Try it!

This was our second trip to Quebec, my husband has a cousin there, so we are fortunate to have a Québécois showing us his town. This was the first we had heard of Wendake village, having known them as their more European name, the Hurons. We had a young woman guide, a member of the tribe. She was very good,... More

We loved our visit! It is a small site but lots is packed in and very informative! We had an English speaking guide which was very helpful and meant a smaller tour group (only the two of us spoke English at that time!). We bought the harvest special package which meant as well as the tour we could watch and... More

I booked my visit here through the tourism center in Quebec. I first inquired about the full tour where I would have an opportunity to see traditional dances, etc. However, I was told that they no longer have that option in English and was directed to the 2 hour tour instead. I was given the impression that it was a... More

This is close to the hotel but not part of their museum. There are tours in English and French. The tour guide we had was extremely knowledgeable. She gave us much information about how her people lived in the past but also about the dynamics of the reservation today. The longhouse and other structures are very interesting to study. They... Allow plenty of time here. We took the shuttle bus from the Tourist Information office, (about a 20 minute ride) and got there just after 12 o'clock We had an early light lunch at Sagamite - one of the on site restaurants. We took the 1.30p.m. guided tour of the site with an extremely knowledgeable native guide who was very... More

Our guide, Simon, was great! You can tell his culture is very important to him. He gave us so many intersting informations. We even had a 20 minutes surplus to our tour. The site was small, but nicely organized. The different stations were all interesting and you could tell they were traditionnal. The store was big and great. We went... More
