The cutest most perfect little island for a few days excursion from the mainland, We travelled from Hvar to Mljet via passenger ferry, and then onto Dubrovnik. It's a beautiful national reserven highly recommended.

We decided to make a spontaneous trip to Mljet having heard such high praise for Croatia’s National Parks. We got the 8am G&V Nona Ana ferry to Sobra (140kn return) which arrived at 09.05 and then (due to no buses at the time) got a...More

The walk around the Park or ride a bike well worth the experience. We rode bikes and was fun. Stop at different areas for a swim.

So basically the whole island is the national park...there are about 2 "town" areas on the north end and then the other on the south end. And the rest of the park is literally park. It's AWESOME. Not much to do in the towns. A...More

Mljet is a real gem. Unfortunately the cruise ships that seem to infest that part of the world have caught on! I would recommend a visit, so buy a ticket that includes a free bus shuttle service to and from various locations. We stayed in...More
