The beach is amazing, but the banana boats and the guys who rent the jet ski drive dangereously close to the swimmers, it was very annoying and difficult to enjoy the beauty of the place.

We went to this beach after seeing videos of a lonely lovely place. IT'S A LIE! This place is HORRIBLE. No exaggeration. Maybe on a weekday it's better. But on Saturday, here is what we found: Taxi 85-100K EACH way Road to beach is a...More

Just don't go there. It's crowded. Extremely touristic. No space to lie down. All natural shady spaces are blocked by restaurants and hostels which sell artificially created shadow with shelters for an enourmous amount of money. Restaurants and hotels only leave about 2 meters of...More

First of all, read how many negative reviews there are. My first mistake as they are true. We drove there and immediately when we arrived at the Playa Blanca entrance, which was not even our destination, a group of 25 guys standing on the road...More

A superb beach totally wasted with cheap tourist restaurants, hundreds of vendors constantly trying to sell you the stupidest things. Not a single shadow spot for free. When you try to swim, all types of jet skis come swooping around, literally centimeters away, with their...More

I went to Baru many years ago and there is nothing left! Since the island can be reached by car, the tourism got crazy, nothing is regulated. There is little sand since all is cover by umbrellas and chairs. The water doesn't have that beautiful...More

Travelling from the main harbour in Cartagena is the fastest way to get to the island, and only slightly more expensive than the road option (if I remember correctly). The boats seem to go every half our, so just pitch up... More
