Personalized, fun and safe trips in the Sea of Cortez, we provide Scuba diving and snorkelling with PADI Instructors, hiking with a geographer, and adventures with friends. We can organize sunset dinner cruises to weeklong expeditions. Our specialty is multi day private charters for families or groups of friends who want to get off the beaten track and immerse themselves in nature and adventure. You can see sealions, whalesharks, whales, dolphins and a huge variety of fish and invertebrate marine life. We include scuba diving (or introduction to scuba), snorkelling, kayaking, hiking and great times. Get in touch to organise your ideal vacation.

These two really made our visit to the islands of Espiritu Santo a fantastic excursion. Norman welcomed us at the dock and they were ready do go with all the equipment for the day....masks, snorkels, fins and wet suits. Norman guided us through the different areas and was very knowledgeable about the islands. Swimming with the sea lions was a great experience and Norman made sure we were safe and enjoyed the time in the water. We stopped at an amazing white sand beach and enjoyed a picnic of very good food prepared by Kathy. It was an entire day of activities made perfect by Norman and Kathy. Norman is a kind, gentle, prudent and very knowledgeable owner and guide. His price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We spent 4 days on El Duque in January 2019. We did not have the best weather (windy and overcast for a couple of days) and I had the flu! With all that somehow this ended up being one of our favorite family trips ever! Cat and Norm are amazing and it was fun just getting to share in their adventure for even a short time. Snorkeling with the sea lions, scuba diving for the first time and getting certified, scenic hiking, great food, and most of all the best people!
If you are one of the lucky ones who found this adventure ... do it! It's something you will not regret. We hope to get back soon!

My wife and I did a full day tour of Isla Espiritu Santo wit El Duque for sightseeing and snorkeling with the Sea Lions. Our guide Norman was great and full of information about the area, the marine life and tips to improve my free diving! The tour was well organised with timings and a great lunch too.
This is an amazing unique trip which I highly recommend to anyone!

Just got back from 3 nights/4 days with Norm and crew. El Duque is very well equipped, the food is excellent and the crew takes excellent care of you. Norm clearly takes his job seriously and wants his clients to have the best possible experience. We went birding (baby Frigate birds!), snorkeling, kayaking, swam with the sea lion pups and finished with the whale sharks. I highly recommend El Duque and crew. Thank you for everything, Norm!

I took my family (three teenagers and husband) on a three day exploring experience on board El Duque. We had a unique time that they will never forget. Sleeping on the boat, watch the stars, explore the island, snorkel and swim all day was amazing. Amazing Crew, we felt at home and happy every minute aboard.

Kind, communicative and knowledgeable staff! Our family had a great time. Cat was easy to communicate with and made everything easy. She and her crew were so knowledgeable about whale sharks and all things La Paz. Thanks for a memorable trip!

My time on El Duque with Cat, Norman, & Dave was nothing short of incredible. From the many adventures they took us on (scuba, free driving, swimming with sea lions and whale sharks, kayaking, swimming with bioluminescent plankton, hiking), to the amazing food (freshly made to everyone's specific requests) I couldn't have asked for a more amazing time. They kept us informed every step of the way and educated us on lots of sea life. I was definitely not ready to get off the boat and would love to go back soon!!

Cat, Norman, and Dave were AMAZING hosts/captains/educators/instructors as well as all around incredible human beings. As someone who is pretty landlocked from open water, they comfortably brought out my inner mermaid while snorkeling, scuba diving, and free diving. I never felt unsafe and was always looking forward to the next adventure whether it was ocean kayaking, playing with sea lions, or swimming with whale sharks. Food on board was incredible and the sleeping quarters were quite comfy. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an amazing adventure and I look forward to being back on the boat and in the water with them in the future!

We knew we wanted to get out on the water and are so lucky we heard about Norman and Cat and their wonderful and flexible options for adventures! We only most of a day, and they still made it feel as special as if we were week-long El Duque charter customers!! We went out on Duquese and had a great time and got a tantalizing taste of the Sea! We can't wait to come back with more time and will know right were to go!!

cat and norman rocked our vacation and can't thank them enough.
with them owning and operating el duque they are able to be extremely flexible with both excursions and when you are traveling with pescatarians.
we had a great time snorkeling with sea lions and whale sharks, diving and beaching, kayaking and of course safety beers after (its a thing, trust me).
they were so very impressive dealing with 3 couples and 4 kids, food was great and if you bring some tequila perhaps norman and david will mix you up their wonderful margaritas!!
thanks to el duque adventures for kicking butt and taking names
we will be back....
