I love strolling the Malecon especially after 5pm. People are skating, biking, running, and laughing, smiling, and waving. It's such a beautiful place to walk before or after dinner. When the construction is complete, I will be so happy!!!

While we were there a couple months ago it looked dated and worn from salt air. Now they are working hard to update and restore. It’s just a nice place to be near the sea and the town. It’s touristy but not overly so with...More

It will be nice when its finished! Currently (Jan 2018) its undergoing some major refurbishment. Nice statues featured along the way. Lovely views and colours at sunset.

It's a nice place for a stroll, a jog, or even to drive by in your car. I would walk it often and it's just a easemt place and it's nice to look at.

It seems like every time I come to La Paz some part of the Malecon is under construction. For years! Whenever they get it finished (if they ever do) it should be great, but not holding my breath.

Well worth spending an afternoin walking the area. Many great bars and restaurants as well as water activities and cultural destinations.

Nice statues along the way, and the view of the water is nice. But when looking for fresh air, I really found that the fumes from the many cars along the busy road really interfered with any sense of fresh air. In fact I almost...More

There's obviously been an effort to beautify this walkway round the bay. It's looking good so far with neat sections and great statues. It just needs to be finished and some seating provided along what might well become the Promenade to compare to The Prado!!

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
