My husband was able to read the Spanish sufficiently for us to understand what we were seeing. The political, religious, ancient, and later historical exhibits were all well done. I had hoped to purchase something small in the gift shop, but it offered only artwork...More

I'm not really big on museums but I do go to them and always find something to learn and a reason to be impressed. I am probably bias on this one because our friends have personal history in that museum so it was great to...More

Nothing fancy, but a nice little history of the area, etc. Unfortunately it was 1/2 closed when we were there due to hurricane damage, but would be worth the visit when fully open.

Interesting history of Mexico and the Baja. The staff speaks little English, so brush up on your Spanish!

The museum is a mixed bag of various exhibits such as a flag of the Republic of Sonora, a diorama of the first humans in these lands, pictures of Pancho Villa etc. IF you are a history buff and have 45 minutes..

We hired a guide to take us around La Paz, our tour included the Museum. I was very impressed with the exhibits which explained the history of La Paz and all of Baja CA. Very informative.

The museum does a great job of bringing the history of Baja to life. Had a great afternoon there. The displays are in English and Spanish with prehistory as well as post Spanish occupation.

Not the best museum but it is definately worth a look. Lots of pictures and diaramas on three floors, which for the most part are well done. The native american cultures memorbilia and especially the pictographs are interesting. We do speak a little Spanish, so...More
