Worth the drive. Tiny little town. They only got a paved road a few years ago. Met a man in his 90's who had lived there is entire life.

It is a breathtaking drive to San Javier and the mission is beautifully preserved. A real oasis with ancient olive trees. The small town offers a few restaurants for a good lunch.

Love this mission! 2nd built in California and Mexico! It is a Beautiful small and quaint town with this historical mission at the end of town! Go out back and there is a trail leading to olive trees, iguanas, beautiful flowers, etc

We spent 1/2 day traveling and exploring the San Javier Mission. It is peaceful and surrounded by beauty.

This is an interesting place to visit and the drive has some nice views of the water on the way back and of rock formations. However we rented a car for just $45 USD. I don't think it would be worth the $75 per person they were charging to take a tour there. We only spent about 20 minutes there... More

The history of this area, it's surrounding and the captivating drive to it (approx 1 hour drive through mountains) is spectacular. 200 year old olive trees included!

It's a nice ride out to the mission. The drive takes 40 minutes from Loreto. The mission is nice as you can walk around the garden and take some pictures with olive trees and the gardens around.

Great half day trip out of Loreto. Road was excellent with little standing water to cross. Paved all the way.

Got a chance to walk around this pretty building on a recent cruise stop here. It seems like you can just walk in and look around.
