Exchange your money in Mexicali. If you spend money its easier to figure out how much you owe. I used my credit card anywhere I could to avoid carrying cash. I took 45 cash. You can bargain shop. You are going to spend the same as any tourist spot though. 30 for A meal for 4. Sunglasses about 5. Sundress... More

Beautiful from a distance and great for jogging or strolling. The "sand" is muddy....muddy ocean floor, muddy everything. Some places you sink to your ankles in mud.. Got some pretty shells at low tide, and enjoyed watching the thousands of birds, however had to be mindful of the pools of bird droppings everywhere .

I've been going to San Felipe for over 40 years but about 7 yrs ago, I swore it off because I saw it as another dirty unsafe town south of the border. As a turn of fairness, we went for a week in April 2016 to see how things changed. Very much to our surprise, the town is substantially cleaner,... More

Though is small town I honestly like the tranquility of this place. The color of the water in "mar of cortez" is just beautiful. Granted that is a small town, Good Places are hard to fine but they exist I found one excellent place but a little price $250.00 dlls per night for a 2 bedroom Condo. However, in February... More

Went for long walks on the endless beach and into the village. The shrimp and fish are world class as good as anything you could find anywhere in the world.

This is not the"South Beach"of Miami, Florida, as one (drunk?) poster seems to think! Rather, it's a beautiful beach in San Felipe, Mexico.

If you go anywhere in the South Beach area, make sure you lock your car and belongings in a safe. Don't leave anything valuable in your room, including passports, money, camera equipment, computers, anything. You'll get robbed as soon as you turn your back. Sorry, this place used to be nice, but now everyone is robbing everyone else, especially during... More

First off, it was hellava drive down there, but once you checked into your vacation home, had a cocktail or 2, it was time to party with the locals! My friends and I had an amazing time there. From catching so many fish, to seeing everyone driving ATV's and Sandrails, it is a place to party and have difference kinds... More

the land above the beach rises on sand cliffs that have been eroded in wonderous ways. the tide goes way out leaving tidepools that are warm and filled with life. when you go in the water, scuff the bottom, stirring up the sand, so that you don't surprise a stingray or jellyfish. but watch for crabs too! and then the...
