I had not been to Tijuana for a number of years. Let's be honest. I visited TJ for the same reason as many Americans. There are those of us who want to claim foreign travel, but cannot afford the week long fancy cruises, airline tickets, hotel stays or other costs of foreign travel. TJ has little to do with the... We went on a Monday. There was no line to get back over to the United States, but also at least half the shops on Revolucion were closed. There was music and several restaurants, some hotels, and places to buy souvenirs. The tacos we got on Avenida Revolucion were mediocre. Our taxi driver did tell us that just about anywhere... More

The arch is seen from all around and thus you cannot get lost. There is music all over the area around the arch. The Avenida Revolucion has all kinds of shops and restaurants. Just to walk on it is a nice experience in itself. Make sure you bargain, when you buy something.

During the day you can find all kinds of traditional souvenirs as well as good restaurants. At night they have all kinds of bars, cantinas, karaoke bars, you name it. Fun for all!

A nice place to get souvenirs. Of course don't pay their asking price. You can at least get half of what they are asking. Be careful going off the Main Street. It can get very seedy, very fast. We felt safe on the Main Street . Not so much on the side streets. By nice place to see.

It's a cool strip. The casino is really fun for table games and the bars are pumping all night. Worth staying on the strip.

After crossing the border into Mexico, Avenida Revoluccion is just a 10 walk from there. It's full of restaurants that have waiters outside that try to get you to enter their place and other souvenir shops. The food was ok (I only ate at one place). However, if you wander on, you will see a working class section of Tijuana... More
