First went here in 2003 and the place was buzzing. Went there recently and everything was so quiet. Shame to see the place go down hill

It's touristy but good touristy. I want with my daughter and we both really enjoyed checking out the shops and talking with shop owners and picking up some stuff to take home.

After reading reviews I was expecting a larger market with more art..... It is a nice traditional market with food, flowers, pots and pans, candy etc. On this rainy wednesday morning 9:30 it was almost empty of customers.

Great experience. Felt very safe contrary to internet warnings.....crossed over the border without any hassle both ways. There is an array of authentic items from art to herbs and many items in between. I was pleasantly surprised to how many spoke enough English and embarrassed by my lack of Spanish. But all who I interacted with were pleasant and gentle... More

I love this place. It is just outside the main touristy area and is a fun, clean and non-tourist market. I especially love the pride in the artistry of some of the displays . . particularly the chili pepper mounds.
