This is a nice beach if you can manage to find the unmarked turn off on the main highway and drive about a mile or two down a Sandy rutted road to the end. Park your car and walk about another quarter mile follow the sound of the waves. When you get there you’ll know it. It’s a very long stretch of pristine Beach with a small freshwater stream, Feeding into it.

There is a nice palm forest shading the pathway. Although they say it is a safe swimming beach, the waves are large and powerful and so is the undertow. This is not a kid beach, if you manage to get past the surf break it’s calmer and of course a lot deeper , so this is really a place for only the best , most confident swimmers.
We were there from one to 3:30 PM and the waves were steady and constant. It was also low tide with incoming direction. Could have been better at 10 am but I can’t say.
And lastly, those damn horses, they are aggressive. If you’re stuff is not attended, they’ve learned to stick their noses into coolers and bags seeking food , you can shoo them off, but do not get close to them as they have been known to kick violently. .

Made a huge mistake of feeding the horses and getting too close. The black horse kicked back, thankfully he missed but it was an extremely close call. The beach is amazing but do not think the horses are there to be your friend. They are extremely dangerous. I really regret freezing them.

Best beach in Todos Santos. Be assertive if the horses come by and shoo them off. They are beautiful and aggressive. Otherwise it’s a stunning and wonderful place to visit!

Definitely hard to find - and we were tentative on the rough roads, but third time lucky and we’ve been back every second day or so. The beach is literally paradise and great to actually swim in the ocean! We took the online instructions (turned at K57 and followed the middle road) but got freaked out by a sign saying in Spanish it was private property so we turned around and then tracked around for a while on the rough roads wondering where we’d done wrong! Secret is to ignore that sign and keep going straight all the way to the palms ahead of you. We haven’t seen the horses yet, either, and we’ve been 3 times now. What a picture postcard beach. So so beautiful. Worth the angst to get there!

This had long been one of my favorite beaches in the Todos Santos area, but, like other reviewers here have commented, you need to be aware of the horses. About eight years ago, when I first came here, there were no horses on the beach. Now the access to the beach is fenced off. I was there in November 2021, on my first full day of vacation, and was bitten and kicked by a horse who came up and approached me. Not having much experience with horses, I didn’t know what to do when it came up to me. Luckily horses don’t have sharp teeth, so the bite didn’t puncture my skin, but it did leave a nasty bruise on my shoulder and a bloody shin. It’s a beautiful cove beach that may soon be developed, like so many other things in the Todos Santos area, but having these out of control horses is sort of a buzz kill. I went back to the beach in March 2022 and saw the horses hovering over somebody sitting on the beach. A Canadian woman who runs a stable in town said the horses there were known for their ill disposition. So, if you go to Las Palmas, be wary.

Yes, beautiful and had a wonderful time. Until we were leaving and a wild mare with foal attacke my 5 year old granddaughter. She is fine but she could have been killed. Luckily there was a trauma nurse tourist who rushed to help. Plus there was a commercial photo shoot or video production which had EMTs and police who all came to help.
Those horses are wild. The nurse told us that she had almost been attacked the year before. Another person said a horse attacked a person a day before.
Please be safe.

This is probably my fav beach around Todos, but it can come at a cost. This year there was an increase in car break-ins. It doesn't matter if you're driving a theft-magnet (White Toyota rental) or a beat up truck. Do NOT display your valuables. It won't guarantee your vehicle will be left alone, but it will help. Please do not be friendly with the three horses that live there. They've learned that beach bags often have food inside. I've seen them chomping on a knapsack with chunks of apples dripping out. If you walk away from your spot, take your valuables or else your phone might get scattered somewhere by the horses who keep an eye on when it's best to approach someone's spot. Don't encourage the horses to come to you. They are confused about people. Some people are nice, some shew them away. But if they don't get what they want from you, they won't hesitate to kick or bite. I've seen them kick people more than once. Just don't encourage them. This is a private beach and the kind owner lets people come. There are no provisions. Pack in whatever you need, and take it out. Thankfully, people respect this place. I've only seen a few pieces of litter in the 3 years I've been going there, and I've packed it out. Do not swim on either end of the bay where there are rocks, and keep in mind you need to read the currents and tides. Even surfers have drowned here. Occasionally, it's swimmable. Bring an umbrella and beverages if you're planning to stay for more than an hour. A boogie board is an asset. It's a marvelous place and hopefully won't be built up in the near future. Come and enjoy a serene setting. Las Palmas is a peaceful, stunning oasis once you get past the horse apples along the trail to the shore. Just do it, but be forewarned.

off the main highway, at a specific mile marker you jump onto a dirt road that is better suited for ATV's than the VW car we had. the longest 4KM drive of my life. Worth it though...We went early in the am, arrived before 10, place was empty and by the time we left, around 2pm, there were maybe 20 people on the whole beach. No vendors selling goods, just the sound of the waves. The water and sand glitter, as if there are gold flakes scattered throughout, and if you are adventurous you can climb up the hills on the sides of the beach to get a great wide view of the bay and the other to the north. Definitely worth the visit, if you like quiet beaches.

We traveled a long dirt road to get there. It was well worth the trouble. The beach was beautiful and very few people there. Great waves
