I thought this was really cool! Sure, it may have only been a 20 minute boat ride, but the Paseo is really well done with plants of cool art work, bridges and fountains en route. They’ve put a lot of thought into this and it shows. Contrary to another post, the boats bring you right back to the starting point near the Macroplaza. The cost for adults was 120 pesos (roundtrip). The cafe that’s on the side of the Paseo is a little pricey, but the ambience made it worth it for a beer or two.

This man made touristy spot goes from downtown Monterrey to the historic Fundidora. You can start at one end early in the day and end at the other. We have come here multiple times while visiting Monterrey as a way of getting away from the congestion of the metropolis. The walk is peaceful with plenty of photo opportunities as well as small mom and pop places to grab a snack or bite to eat. The entire walk from end to end didn’t take us very long. We walked slowly, it took us a little over an hour.

Do not bother going here. For the boat ride, it’s 100MXP per person. We waited in line for 45 minutes. For a 20 minute boat ride. ONE WAY. We assumed it would bring us back to the original place. It does not. Then it’s impossible to find a place to pick up Uber. Horrible. And wasted time and money.

The Paseo Santa Lucía was beautiful. Norte Esté Museum and Contemporary Art Museum were interesting. Make sure your up to date on your Spanish.

Other places like Fundidora Park and Metroplex were having repairs. Definitely don't be in Monterrey on a Monday, museums are closed. Good food and good service is difficult to find.

Your best bet is going for a long weekend and stay in Barrio Antigua.

Took the boat ride to the Fundidora to take in the sight of the spectacular mountains around Monterrey, enjoy the urban renewal, and to stroll the Fundidora park for photo opps. Had Lunch at the restaurant there where I had the best michelada. Had no time left for the tour. Will go back.

Boat ride and express cart took us around to sight see the parque fundidora and other attractions. Nice and funny tour guide made us laugh.

This beautiful scenic Riverwalk is still recovering from COVID. Our boat tour was nice, but there were few people out and most vendors were closed.

this tour is inside the foundry park and it is the largest artificial river in latin america, a safe, familiar and interesting tour as it presents several local curiosities

Nice Place to visit and sit for coffee, not a tourist place but they have very good Elotes, Churros, Raspas, and Mexican Candy!

This is a bigger version of the river walk in San Antonio. Not as many restaurants but quite a long a river cruise on a man made river with narration if you understand Spanish. We were there at Christmas and it was all decked out for the holidays and I am told its a light show at night. We had a boat full of families with their kids and we saw the original foundry that helped with establishing Monterrey. The Mexican History Museum is right next to the boat ride and although we didn't have time to visit it looked impressive. To ride the boat you need to buy tickets at a small ticket office and then walk down to the jetty with your tickets. The whole area is historic with a huge plaza around the Governor's Palace which might be open to tour but I am not sure. The area around the palace seems to be judicial with lots of businesses, law offices and restaurants. We had a pleasant couple of hours with the boat ride and wandering around the area being tourists. Very clean and safe and well worth a visit while you are in Monterrey. Be aware as nice as Monterrey is almost no one speaks English, I guess its not as touristy as places like Cancun.
