Guayabitos and nearby towns of La Penita and Los Ayala are one of the best kept secrets in Mexico. Great beaches, good restaurants, low prices, and spectacular weather in December, January, February, March and April. Also, real estate prices are low, low. Pix doesn't do it justice.

This is a beach that is visited by mexicans for the most part. Not as trendy or developed as Puerto Vallarta or famous as Sayulita, but it is great. The beach is on a large bay, the sand is soft, the sea is mostly calm. Really good, overall. The prices for rooms, food and attractions is much lower than on... More

We loved poking around the small town of Guayabitos. The word 'rincon' translated means inside corner. It truely is a quaint corner on the Riviera Nayarit. Lovely sea side setting where locals take out their fishing boats daily and sail out for their catch. There are many shops that cater to both tourists and locals alike. During a long weekend... We had a great day exploring the different streets and the beach is flat. Sand for miles but on the weekends it is busy with lots of locals. That's part of the fun for me to people watch. Lots to pick from for cafes to enjoy any meal you want.

This quaint, quiet, little gem is situated behind Casa Blanca hotel. They have a fire-oven and make the most delicious pizza! We just had to go back a second time to try the pasta.....and they didn''t disappoint! The pasta was perfectly cooked, the wine was divine and the atmosphere was quiet and romantic! A must do!

I love Guayabitos. The beach is beautiful, in a sheltered bay (Bahia de Jaltemba). There are numerous restaurants, shops, tianguis every week, and really fine folks.

While in Guayabitos and looking to get off the beach and head to short boat ride to another small and very clear water its worth the trip. The boat will transverse the outer bay of Guayabitos and spin a local story of the other surrounding beaches and then you come upon this little oasis. Isle de Corel for a bout... More
