If you can avoid coster while in Acapulco do! As it offers access to all stores, restaurants and night clubs it also is very noisy, full of street vendors and heavy traffic all the time.

My trip to Acapulco was really amazing. We came back after 10 years and everything was incredible and affordable, rich of flavor and the services really good. I truly recommend this place.

Just spend two weeks there and the sun shone every day and the attractions, food and sights were great. The locals were helpful at every turn and nothing to much effort.Long way from Australia to have a holiday but it was certainly worth the 3 plane trips to get to Acapulco

Multiple hotel accommodations are found along La Costera avenue. The Bay Area is perfect for jet skis, boat parachute, sun bathing, and swimming. Average prices, not luxury but worth it due to proximity to clubs and restaurants. More friendly and relaxed atmosphere during the day. Fruit/coconuts vendors are numerous, contrary to punta diamante where you can rather ride horses and... More

I love Acapulco and it's bay. We took our last trip there this past June 2016 and we felt safe where ever we went. I know there are some challenges that are going on in this area but they did not affect us. We are fortunate we have family in Acapulco and spend a lot of time with them also.

Costera is the road that goes along the sea and around Acapulco. It's where all the large hotels, restaurants, and businesses are located in Acapulco. It is usually crowded and full of life and unless you just go to your hotel, close and lock the door you will have to drive through it to get anywhere around town.

The "Costera" has been always known by its commercial facet, but now the last time I visited this place, is full of people trying to sale you something: coconut oil, temporary tattoos, food, touristic services and even massages!!! I understand that the people needs earn money and they do what they can, but is annoying saying NO all the time... More

This is the main Avenue of Acapulco where most of the popular hotels and restaurants are located. Travelers use the disco and a/c buses to travel from Walmart to Caleta beach from this Avenue.

When Starbucks opens a cafe every third block, you know that better restaurants will follow. Carmenere, Bento, Pescao and Suntory REstaurants are all excellent and within blocks of each other.
