Punta Diamante is the newer section of Acapulco. Away from then loud Clubs and music. It has beautiful beaches. We stayed at the Grand Mayan walked on the beach and got a one hour massage for 20us. I recommend you stay Saturday & Sunday on the Costera than spend a week here.

Yes, it's newer than traditional hotel areas, and nicely landscaped, etc. But traffic is just as bad; hotel prices are higher, with many of them not even being on the beach; certainly missing the charm and variety of traditional Acapulco. Overrated.

We stayed here on the beach and it was great. We walked outside the resort onto the beach and got massages every day! $20 for an hour massage, awesome!

Open ocean. Good for wave jumping. Waves can get really big. As I have said before. Always keep one eye on the ocean. Here you can walk along the beach, horseback ride or rent an arc. Great sunsets. As always there are vendors selling their goods. As for the non beach diamante: There is a nice outdoor shopping mall next... More

The ocean is relatively calm, and it's shallow - you can walk out quite a distance before it gets deep. There are waves, but they aren't nearly as bad as the rest of the Pacific beaches I have visited. Walking during sunset was beautiful. We went almost to the northern end and stopped at a little store for drinks to... More

Not the real Acapulco feeling. Overpriced food and drinks. If you are a traveler, you will be dissappointed.

Miles of perfect beach. No rocks or other debris. Usually visit between mid-Feb and early April, and the beach is often empty and never crowded. Ocean can be rough if you venture out, but breaks far enough out that the shoreline is safe for kids. 90 every day. 70 every night. Not humid, so comfortable, though the sun is VERY... More
