Acapulco's tourist hayday ended 30 years ago. Many places are in disrepair. That is part of its charm. Also, the US State department has told it's citizens to not visit. I'm a US citizen and I like Acapulco because there are so few Americans. Going...More

We hired a private car and our driver took us to the old markets. Very hot and no real bargains. Our driver stayed with us the entire time.
