The boat ride to the island was fun. The crew on the boat was friendly and the divers were amazing to watch. The island itself is beautiful, but the beach is super crowded and there are a lot of rocks in the water. The restaurant on the beach was good, but again, very crowded. It is also a little expensive by Mexican standards, but I did enjoy my shrimp cocktail. If you order a pina colada you must specify that you want alcohol, otherwise you'll receive a pineapple and coconut juice drink without alcohol. Also, be aware that the bathroom facilities on the island leave a lot to be desired.

First of all I love its climate and the shells it has, it's a bit hot but it's incredible, the view is perfect, it has a perfect touch of peace and adrenaline; since, you can be watching the fish, get on the banana, eat, play, enjoy, take out shells and much more, it is great to see how they feed the fish; At the top you can find several craft stalls, restrooms, food, table and chair rentals, a quesadilla stall that is delicious and very cheap, and you can also find a scraped-off truck; It's also great for taking photos as it has great lighting and let's not forget to bring water and sunscreen to stay completely comfortable.

You only get there by boat (very inexpensive) so the ride itself is the only time most tourists get on the water in Acapulco. There are restaurants facing the beach so you have food and beverage available.

If you want some exercise, there is a concrete sidewalk trail that circles the island with some incredible view of the Pacific to the West and South. You'll pass a small hidden beach and an old military building at the top of the island that is now a history museum and you may see one of the old burros that used to wander freely on the beaches. You will also pass through the remains of the old Aca Zoo and you can take stairs down to another hidden beach.

The trail is about 2 miles and it can be hot so take water with you as there are no concessions away from the main beach. Enjoy!

Beautifull fishes, I had a 40 minutes skuba. The ocean is really beautifull. It was a great experience.

I would not go to the island for the Palau VIP experience. It’s hardly VIP. The boat left 20 minutes late. They had a quick cliff diving show. Not too memorable. It was a slow trip that left us only 2.5 hours to enjoy their “beach.” Palau is not on the main beach where you can access the full breadth of activities: snorkeling, banana boats, kayaks, and a larger beach. Their beach was 30 ft wide. The paid snorkeling tour offered awful equipment. No fins! Snorkeling guide didn’t speak any English despite being told one would be available. The historic Mayan show was also forgettable. Food was okay. Nothing special. Next time, we’ll just take a direct tour to the main beach and bring your own snorkeling gear.

We had a great time at Roquetta even though it was a Saturday & very busy. Interesting boat ride over, a great lunch, private hiking tour & some great snorkelling.

I live fairly close to Isla Roqueta and love being able to go over and explore. At 100 pesos (roughly $5 USD) roundtrip you really can't beat it. There's a nice beach, a restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks, and trails. There are also several secluded beaches you can find on the island. I'd definitely recommend going over to see it if you're in Acapulco.

This was a really terrible experience. The music on the boats will make you deaf for the rest of the day. The beach is so crowded that it's not worth the effort to walk down to the water. The trail to the lighthouse seems to have little-to-no maintenance. It is steep, covered in debris, with no views until you get to the very top. No wildlife, no interesting fauna, nothing. Then the same not-interesting hike back down to the noise, crowds and painful boat ride.
