Spent a great day with Alfonso. He picked us up for the drive to Ventanilla (Crocodiles) and to Escobilla (turtle release) at our place in Santa Cruz. Always on time and ready to go. He tells you about local communities and some history of the area. On the tour he points out the different birds and interprets for the local guide. When you get to the turtle release he explains what the sanctuary is trying to accomplish (helping to increase the turtle population). The whole day was a very cool experience.

We are a family of 4 with two young kids (age 2 and 4). We spent 3 days with Alfonso this past week in Huatulco. We visited the bays on day 1, visited animals & released sea turtles (this was the kids' favorite) on the second day, and visited a waterfall on our last day. Alfonso was very accommodating with our kids (this was our top concern going on adventures with little ones). Communications were excellent (I don't speak any Spanish!!). What I enjoyed the most, other than the beautiful natures of Huatulco, is Alfonso's service and how kind he is. Several occasions I saw him tipping the people we encountered along the way, from the villagers working to pave the road to the waterfall, to the volunteer at the turtle release place. It is the pandemic - the community relies on tourism. It was heart warming to see how he cares about not just himself, and how much kindness there is in this community. We felt very safe in Huatulco as most people wear masks and respects social distancing. If you are ever in Huatulco and looking for a tour guide, please give Alfonso a chance to show you around!

We were referred to Alfonso by my brother & sister in-law, they loved him. We contacted him before we left home, he was quick to respond and we had tours and dates in place. We were looking forward to meeting him, he seem so nice and professional on the phone. When we finally met him, he did not disappoint. Right from the beginning we felt at ease, as he was very sociable and felt comfortable like a family member. He's friendly and funny and truly seemed like he was enjoying himself almost as much as we were, We never felt rushed and didn't feel like he was clock watching. Plenty of time for photos and to take in the views. We enjoyed listening about his community and the history of Huatulco. He's very knowledgeable and communicates easily.(English) His timing was impeccable. We went on the waterfall tour and we were first to arrive and missed the crowds. He was alerted to the fact that turtles were coming up on the beach to lay their eggs and offered to change our tour date so that we wouldn't miss out on the opportunity . He was always looking out for our best interest and how he could make our experience even better. A family member had a medical priority, he went over and above to get the family member into a doctor and to find the right pharmacy. Always there to help with the language barrier. and to give advice. He knew that we wanted to do some shopping , he offered us a complimentary morning shopping tour, taking us not only shopping but to some amazing sites as well (light house, magnetic hill, church) Again this was all done without feeling rushed, another amazing time with Alfonso. Even amidst his own family medical emergency, he made sure we were taken care of . To sum it up we feel he is a one of a kind gentleman, tour guide and person. He made us feel special and important and like family. Our vacation couldn't have been better. We highly recommend Alfonso for your tours this will without a doubt improve your experience in Huatulco. There is so many more things we could say,Thanks you so much Alfonso! Mr. Scott, Colleen, Debbie and Phil

We enjoyed a lovely day with Alfonso where we saw the crocodiles in the lagoon and the turtles at the Turtle Centre. Alfonso was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the local area and he has a great sense of humour too. He also takes his tour license very seriously & is up to date with all current legislation. I can recommend this tour if you are looking to explore in Huatulco 😀.

We took a day tour with Alfonso. We wanted a custom private tour as our time was limited. He responded to our email within the hour to set up a tour. He picked us up in an air conditioned SUV with cold beverages always ready. He took us on a tour of many local places, with a couple listed below. We made a stop at a local handicrafts store with items from the surrounding area. The staff gave us a demonstration of traditional wool/cotton processing and use of the loom. We found some lovely souvenirs there, far nicer than the usual fridge magnets! Next we went into the mountains to the Pluma Hildalgo coffee plantation for lunch. Alfonso and the owner then personally took us through the entire process of picking and processing coffee beans. We made a stop at the Chahue mezcal processing area for an overview of the mezcal process and for a mezcal tasting. All throughout, Alfonso gave us a ton of useful and interesting information about the area and local customs. He was always helpful and friendly. A great experience!
