We have travelled Mexico for over 30 years and this was our first visit to Huatulco and most certainly will not be our last. La Crucecita is a lovely town that is truly Mexican with a great fruit market area near the Centro and a gorgeous town square. Restaurants are plentiful, prices are excellent, value for your dollar is exceptional,... More

We stayed in a nearby hotel and walked to Crucecita several days - loved exploring the local life! Tons of little shops and great local food.

This was my first time to Huatulco, Mexico although I have visited the country numerous times in the Yucatan region and also in other cities along the Pacific coast. I read as much as I could about the town and then went to Trip Advisor for advice. I had a full schedule of places I wanted to see and I... More

We went to town from Dreams to buy some gifts and view the town. Very nice people although some were somewhat pushy with selling things. I don't like to barter so not my favorite but my fiancé can barter well. They have a good tequila shop that has tastings.

La Crucecita is a lovely little town to visit. Not sure if this was posted but the main Zocalo was completely renovated before Christmas last year. Much more open. Great job by Fonatur.

Visited La Crucecita on an excursion and the first thing you will notice is how impeccably clean this city is. They call this the real Mexico because it hasn't had the touristy influence the Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Mayan Riviera is experiencing. This is part of the charm of this area. If you are looking for as safe place... More

Another one of our stops during our stay in Huatulco. We felt very safe and welcome walking the streets and visiting many of the shops. Be sure to find the Church in the cith center, as well as the shops that still make blankets and such on old fashion looms.

Quaint town, friendly people. Barter for items in the stores. Different and locaized gits. Eat local.
