Sport Fishing - Snorkeling - Bay Tours. I operate tours of the 9 bays of Huatulco. I have a boat with room for groups of up to 10 people as well as a larger boat for groups of up to 15 people. I offer tours lasting from a few hours to all day and will provide refreshments as we watch dolphins, sea turtles and even whales. I also offer sport fishing tours, snorkelling and waterfall tours.

Another fantastic day with Pilo. Once again we chartered Pilo’s 34’ foot boat, twice in two weeks and we were free to pick our agenda. The boat is a well equipped Trojan with a Flybridge for great views. Clean and functioning head was a must for the ladies on board.
Trip one we had our 18 month old Granddaughter.
Pilo as always was in time, ready to go at 7am and we caught the sunrise as we left the marina in Santa Cruz.
We trolled for maybe 20 minutes before landing and releasing some Black Tuna. Pilo’s fishing equipment is plentiful, 100% Penn and in great working order.
We cruised through a pod of Dolphins playing and Rays were jumping in the distance.
We went as far as Bahía San Augustín and cruised through the bay before stopping at a beautiful water access only beach. At Bahía Chachacual we did some great snorkeling and we ate our own lunch we brought. We went a shore at the deserted but gorgeous beach. We had already been to the restaurants at Maguay Beach earlier.
After lunch, radio chatter from Pilo’s network of friends told us Whales had been sighted near by. Sure enough we saw two Humpbacks.
With the baby telling us 5 hours was enough we returned.
The second trip was similar except we elected to do more snorkeling after everyone who wanted to fish, landed one atleast. Great snorkeling this time at Bahía India.
Once again Pilo’s connections put us in Whales. This time a family with a baby and it was spectacular.
Twice in a row, back to back we had incredible experiences and sighted Whales, Dolphins, Rays and Turtles.
For the days excursion with any agenda we wanted, equipment supplied and complete flexibility was ours to select. The boat handles 8 guests comfortably with plenty of shade available, toilet, equipment and most of all the experience and care Pilo and his nephew provide is outstanding.
Three times now. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Pilo is amazing! He and his nephew Chalin made sure we had the best time on the bay tour. We visited tons of beautiful secluded bays, swam with AL kinds of fish, and boated around watching whales, dolphins, and flying rays. It was an amazing day! I highly recommend going out with Pilo and Chalin!

We had a awesome day with Pilo on the boat we caught 6 Mahi Mahi never a dull moment , this is the most comfortable boat with lots of shade and comfortable couches, we will be back.

Pilo is the BEST! We book him a few times every year. The boys love him for the best fishing days and the girls love the bay tour and snorkel days. Pilo is very knowledgeable and professional and has lots of great stories. If you wanna book a boat day Pilo is your man!

Excellent day with Pilo we caught 13 Dorado 2 Mackeral and Bonita he gives you 100% it's a day I will never forget He is a great hard working guy .

Pilo is the ONLY guy we will go fishing with. We've been out with him 5 times now, he never disappoints. Yesterday we caught a huge sailfish and some dorado. We had a first timer and he was the one who pulled in the sailfish as Pilo guided him through. He had the best day ever. Pilo is worth every penny. He's your guy for a good day of fishing!!! Also ceviche was bomb!!! Dolphins were awesome too!! Thank you Pilo!!

Pilo and his crew did an excellent job putting us on fish. I can not recommend him enough! We got tired of catching Mahi on Pocamaxtli (his fishing yacht). While fishing, his crew prepared a delicious mahi ceviche for us and the drinks kept flowing.
The yacht was 10/10. The equipment is 10/10. The service was 10/10. Looking forward to going back to Huautlco and Fishing with Pilo again!

Pilo took us fishing for the day. He knew how to get us on the fish and we caught 9 large Mahi Mahi and had a great time. The boat is super nice, clean, and comfortable with 2 new large motors. He and his deck hand worked hard to make sure we had a great time, including making awesome fresh ceviche on board on the way back to port.

Fantastic. I was in contact with Pilo via Whatsapp (based on the great reviews here) for months in advance to do a day on the water-- snorkel, sigghtsee, and maybe cast a line or two. We did it all with his captain Jose and co-captain Darwin, who guided us along at 3 very different snorkel spots. We spent almost 6 hours out cruising by the different bays of Huatulco. We didn't do a deep sea fishing trip, so we only caught 2 decent sized flipjacks. Had the whole "big" boat to ourselves!

getting ready to head back to Huatulco and are definitely going to be booking our tour with Pilo and crew. We have been going for several years now and have always had a great experience. They are very accommodating and have always shown us a great time. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy a nice day on the water with family and friends.

I think it depends on how long and how many people for a price he's pretty flexible on price, it's the ocean so you can catch anything we've caught Bonitas small tuna, yellow finger tuna, but he's caught everything for marlin to Mahi just not with us. But I highly recommend fishing or snorkeling with Pilo..

I will be returning to Huatulco February 10th and would like to know how to book a trip. Is it done online or in person at the marina? Also can I pay in pesos as I am Canadian and don't use US dollars

Booking is done online through his website. Pilo usually answers through email and sometimes will provide his phone number for text. Pilo will take pesos, just let him know what currency you'd like to use so he can give you the correct amount.

How far of a drive is it from the Barcelo to the launch point for the boat? How does someone make a reservation when they are in Huatulco?
