We arrived by car to the path for this beach. It's hard to find at first, but look for the signs along the side of the road, in the jungle that warn not to tresspass and not to disturb nature. The path is an easy, mostly shaded 15 minute walk through the jungle that leads directly to the beautiful sandy beach. We went snorkelling on the left side of the beach along the coral reef and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. Upon returning to our bags, we noticed that one was missing and that a coati had grabbed it and was taking it into the jungle. Next time I will tie it to a tree.

Today, Saturday February 13, 2015, we were a group of 7 strong young athletic men and women, we were robbed at gunpoint by 3 masked banditos as we were exiting the beach at 2 PM. We feared for our lives, they were scared and desperate, they had 2 large caliber guns and a machete, we were powerless to do anything. After they had taken what they wanted, they fled on foot into the jungle. The State Police were summoned, but they were pretty well useless in communicating with us, (and we could not effectively communicate with them in Spanish) as none of the 18 male & female police officers spoke English. DO NOT WALK IN TO ORGANO BEACH, EVER!

This was the most beautiful small beach of the ones in Huatulco, IF you are interested in nature and willing to walk about 20 minutes through the jungle along an ATV trail. The cab driver dropped us of at the trailhead. On the trail we found the shed skin of a very large snake (the snake himself was nowhere to be seen), a small tarantula, and grouse-like birds. There is plenty of shade in the cliffs and under the trees. A coatimundi came to examine what we had brought, and took a banana we offered him. The beach has no infrastructure at all, so make sure to bring plenty of water and food. There are park attendants who pick up garbage, but they leave at about 3 pm and after that the beach and trail are totally deserted. The one drawback of that is a possibility of an unpleasant encounter with a mugger on the trail, so either leave just before the attendants and ask them to ride behind you (or in front of you, if you don't mind the exhaust fumes), or travel in a larger group. Or, hire a little boat to come to this beach.

My family and I really enjoyed this beach. Great for kids and the water is amazing. Make sure you bring your snorkeling equipment.

Twice we walked from Santa Cruz early in the morning and were the only people on the beach - so lovely.

We took a trip to the Federal Park and stopped at Playa Organo. This bay offers great snorkeling along the sides. The water is turquoise and clean and the beach golden/white and clean.

Great snorkeling. Seen so many colorful fish along with sea cucumbers, sting rays and puffer fish. Nice quiet beach area to relax.

Lovely isolated beach. Can only get to by boat but you can rent a covered boat with a driver for $100 to see this and a couple of other beaches.

Snorkeling is distinctly mediocre if you are used to the Caribbean. Lots of lovely fish and small sponges and urchins but the coral is unattractive and only a couple of species.

Had a stop on this beach while on a boat tour and totally enjoyed it. Did some snorkeling on the left side and then just enjoyed the beach. The water was amazing, so warm and crystal clear! There were a total of 5 other people on the beach and they left not long after we got there. Like being a castaway! Definitely recommend! There are no facilities whatsoever so keep that in mind, take water to drink!
