Stone Island is free. You can get there via a quick water taxi ($2) and once there decide where to stay. There are many cantinas set up along a strip of beach. Pick one and plant yourself. The bar staff will keep you happy. Pay only what you drink. Prices were very reasonable.

I really didn't enjoy this tour. There was a lot of waiting around and the staff were very unorganized. The food was not great and we had to wait a long time to eat or do any activities. The best part was the friendly stray dogs.

This was well worth the money. Started with city tour and learned about Masatlan culture, then watched crazy cliff divers. We then took a boat ride to Stone Island where we road the banana boat 4 times because nice people saw us having so much fun they gave us their tickets....NO RULES!!!!!! it was crazy fun. The food was awesome... More

Took this tour out of El Cid Marina. Crew was extremely good. This is a MUST See. By the way, Stone ISLAND, is not an Island, it is a Peninsula.

About every 3 weeks a large group of EDM residents drives down the new road to Stone Island( Isla de la Piedra) to have lunch and a couple cervesas at one of the many restaurants plunked in the sand. Our hosts are always polite, patient and accommodating. While the guys drink beer and lie about our golf game the ladies... More

Can do this cheap without a tour. Basic beach and some food places. Very slow and went back to the city and resort we were at.

If you are travelling from a cruise you may want to visit this island for something to do. When you take the shuttle to the vendors in the cruise terminal exit to the street. You will see a line of taxis. Turn Left and walk about l5 minutes until you come to an intersection. Keep going straight across the intersection... More

We took our tour through our Hotel. The hotel ( Playa Mazatlan ) covered the cost of the trip to the island and we paid for the activities, food and open bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of open truck box transport, the 45 minute boat tour of the caves and sea lions and the Mexican limo to the beach.... More
