This is where our hotel was at. Lots to see and do. Shopping everywhere. Walking distance to everything. A lot of hotels in this area. Very very good places to eat. A lot of fun.

Most of the hotels, bars, and restaurants are in this area and just about anything you want or need can be found here. Beach is ok although some vendor hassle but that is to be expected.

For cruisers who don't care to take day-long excursions and just want to get off the ship for a short period, the Golden Zone is a good alternative. A $10 taxi ride (up to 4 people) takes about 15 minutes and drops you in the...More

I'm not a shopper, so I wasn't that impressed. However, it was great to visit and look around and see all the different stuff. Very much geared to tourists and not a lot of variety of merchandise from one vendor to another. I don't like...More

The golden zone is the "nicer" part of mazatlan but this is where you will find over priced merchandise and merchants that are trying to sell you everything. I suppose its ok to see if you have nothing to do.

One hotel after another on the beach and shops across the street. Pulmaniaro cabs were a wild experience with 6 stereo/radio speakers in an open air modified VW.

We stayed at the Inn at Mazatlan as our home base and traveled up and down the Zona El Dorado, both on foot and via the infamous "pulmonia." We like to find one driver and stick with him for the entire trip. He would take...More

I loved working with Roberto and his brother. They have a very cool gallery. We purchased two bronze statues a painting and a couple of wall hangings. They said over and over that we will get these shipped right out. Their credit card machine will...More

We took a taxi to the Golden Zone rather than the old town market area. I think I will choose Old Town next time. We were dropped at a jewelry store which the driver told us would do something nice for him and even nicer...More

We hadn't been to Mazatlan in many years. So many changes. Nicer restaurants, shops etc. Music. Lots to do.

Most of the shops and restaurants are open , have no idea about Walmart, have been going since 1974 and never been there. Mazatlan is very festive during Christmas.
