Lots of shops to entice you to purchase a souvenir...stroll the shops. Enjoy your visit and find something to bring home to remind you of a great vacation.

had a terrific lunch at Gringo Lingos & while this may be an essential tourist stop for souveniers, you'll find better bargaining & prices in the old central mercado in downtown Mazatlan

Even if it is a tourist zone, it is nice for walks and to browse through shops and small market style booths. Very safe and a chance to bargain for souvenirs.

By contrast, this area is the opposite of Old Town. New hotels, condos, up scale shopping and restaurants. The cultivation of this area and the new boardwalk is an indication that Mazatlan's goal is to be the best destination vacation spot on the western Mexican...More

We always do the all inclusive, but as we walk up and down the beach we see a RV site just south of El CID Castilla hotel. We have talked to a few people who have camped there and they love it!
