18-hole championship golf course built in 1996, and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course layout is adjacent to the ocean where six of the holes and fairways are situated right off the beach. Tropical landscaping, clusters of palm trees lining the fairways, strategically placed bunkers, impeccably manicured greens and spectacular views. Estrella Del Mar hosted the 2011 Mexican PGA Championship for the first time May 5-8, just one of only two events held in Mexico on the Canadian Tour's 2011 schedule.

Dear ChgoGal2, Thank you for your review about our “beautiful course” and your advice to others to drink lots of water – very important to keep hydrated. Liquids with electrolytes work even better. There have been a couple of reviews recently that have mentioned the...More

The folks here on this perfectly maintained course were friendly and helpful. It might not challenge the serious golfer enough, but for us Minnesotans, was perfect

Awesome setting - albeit a bit of a drive from downtown - well cared for tees, bunkers, fairways and greens. Last four holes with the Pacific in play makes for a awesome adventure!

We listened to the biologist talking about saving the Golfini turtles. We released 25 one day old turtles into the sea at Estrella del Mar. The lunch we had there was delicious. We did not play golf.

Estrella Del Mar GC is back very close to the airport, about 40 minutes from the RIU Emerald Bay, and about 25-30 minutes from the harbour area of Mazatlan. The course isn't very busy, and many of the hotels have a package deal that includes...More

A beautiful course, however, when I'm on vacation, I usually don't like to spend $160/round per person especially when groups of 5 and 6 are allowed on ahead of me. Makes for a rather long day.

Beautiful ocean view and lots of challenges. This is a well manicured course. Lots of sand traps and water hazards.

Maybe it would be an overstatement to cal this course the Pebble Beach of Mexico, but it certainly has its dramatic ocean views and groomed-to-perfection greens. The resort is studded with individual villas and condos with more of the same under construction.

Well, people love to golf and this is a wonderful peaceful place to do so. I know people who live for this place. I think it may become a way of life and longevity.
