This is one of our favorite places to visit. It's full of eateries and invariably has live music to listen to. Example is Troubadors at Pedro & Lola on a Sunday evening. They play a lot of Eagles, CCR, etc. Every day/evening is good. Thursday...More

Came down a few times. Once for the Festival of the Dead Parade which was AMAZING, and a few times to check out the vendors and go to Pedro and Lolas. During the day a bustling plaza with plenty of activity and in the evenings,...More

The Art Walks are the first Friday of every month from November through springtime and well worth the visit. Do make reservations are your favorite restaurants to get a table during this time of year.

A very nice oasis in the middle of downtown. Centrally located among lots of shopping and many restaurants. Near the cathedral and bazaar. A good spot to rest, have a bite to eat.

The Plaza Machado is in Centro Historico and is about a 30 minutes north along the coastal road, the Malecon. A nice taxi or pulmonea ride - but to far to walk.

There are several shops, restaurants and a city center (Plaza Machado) near the ship dock; however, the beach is too far to walk to. If you want to go to the beach or boardwalk (malecon), you can take a pulmonia. Pulmonias... More
