This one of our stops on our tour that we took from the Cruise Port. It was a pretty warm day, but still it was a pleasant place to sit and do some people watching! The cathedral is just across the street and the market just blocks away. There is a very large department store across the street too.

This is where the cathedral is located. We were there on a day when it was over 100 degrees so we didn't stay long outside but I'd love to go back and see it all lit up at night someday

Great Imperial Shrimp at Pedro's and Lolas. The atmosphere is nice. Drinks are pricey. Weekends have open craft tables around the square

We visited twice. The first time Sunday afternoon and it was quiet, restaurants were open but not busy and no music. We returned on a Friday night and whoa what a difference. Lots of good vibes, lots of restaurant selection and some excellent entertainment. Saturday night is said to be as busy. We even had a full moon that added... More

We came here after we left another resort early due to poor conditions. The staff here were great and we're already planning to return.

I would definitely include this stop in your visit. We loved the old town feel and vibes in la plaza. Also, there are plenty of shops and great food.

Super fun place to visit in the evening - restaurants and artisans all out in the street. At Christmas the lights and decorations were beautiful.

The Nexxus tour took us here from the Riu Emerald Bay for dinner. Our tour guide Miguel educated us on some of the history in this area. Many locals, live music, shops and restaurants. Felt very safe to walk around in the Plaza and surrounding area. Still had xmas decor up. Had a good meal at an Italian restaurant in... More

In this plaza you can sit outside in candel light and listen to live musicians perform relaxing elegant music. The plaza has about 6 different restaurants for you to choose from. I enjoyed this night out.
