You must visit Plaza Machado during your trip to Mazatlan. Part of the oldest areas in the city very well maintained, safe and good to walk around. So just go there relax and enjoy Mazatlan!

Plaza Machado makes Mazatlan a very special place. The restoration reminds me so much of Havana, Cuba, which is also lovely. Attended a music festival a few evenings ago. People were so kind, pointing out vacant chairs (not many, with such a huge crowd). It...More

Very historic with lots of shops and restaurants. Located in Old Mazatlán. Just a great place to walk around. The plaza is a very happening place at night with the restaurants and bars. Some have live music. During the day, it is pretty quiet.

Beautiful european type area with plenty of restaurants and live bands at night. We felt really safe all around Mazatlán with no problems at all, media pumps things out of control total fear mongering

Lots of restaurants around a lovely small plaza. Very active in the evenings with numerous entertainers and vendors selling odds and ends. Quiet during the day. Great place for dinner.

The Plaza Machado is in Centro Historico and is about a 30 minutes north along the coastal road, the Malecon. A nice taxi or pulmonea ride - but to far to walk.
