Plazuela Machado never disappoints. The nightlife is the most exciting to enjoy with vendors, strolling musicians, open-air restaurants, and dancers but even during the day you will find locals, artists, residents and tourists alike mingling about taking in ice cream from the vendor across the...More

We enjoyed eating dinner and people watching in the plaza. A lot of the local vendors come out in the evening. Highly recommend!

Like most Mexican towns, the plaza is the go to place for chilling out, partaking in some people watching, and enjoying the colonial architecture. Plaza Machado is no different!

Lovely place, surrounded by gorgeous buildings and good restaurants. A lot of history involved and very pretty panoramas.

Restaurants around are delicious and also the people are very welcoming and attentive we felt like we were at home here. Many police officers around. So I felt kind of safe.

We stopped by here as part of our tour of the city. It's pretty, and has an interesting history, but certainly not a 'must see.

Loved exploring this old part of Mazatlan which is undergoing rebirth. Some very good restaurants, Opera house recently redone and is beautiful.

The Plaza Machado is in Centro Historico and is about a 30 minutes north along the coastal road, the Malecon. A nice taxi or pulmonea ride - but to far to walk.

There are several shops, restaurants and a city center (Plaza Machado) near the ship dock; however, the beach is too far to walk to. If you want to go to the beach or boardwalk (malecon), you can take a pulmonia. Pulmonias... More
