I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights at the RIU Emerald Bay when a friendly gentleman named Eduardo approached me about day trip tours to Stone Island. I told him that I was more interested in fishing. So he gave me a good rate of $250 US (original price was $300) for the fishing trip on a 42 foot... More

Having just moved to Mazatlan 3 months previous, I asked around the locals on fishing charter recommendations. Had a great friend coming to visit, big fisherman. By a landslide Pepe's was recommended. Called, actually talked to Pepe himself, interviewed about fishing, ultimately decided to fish with Pepe's Fishing Charters. We were in the 28' super panga boat and wasn't any... More

Mazatlan is known for "catching the big ones." Bottom fishing is always good as well. At Marina Mazatlan there many options on boats, type of fishing, and captains speaking different languages.

Eduardo and his brother are set up in front of RIU Emerald Bay on the beach (look for a red umbrella to the right of the resort looking uo at it!) These guys are complete legitimate and have one of the best crews around. We paid close half the rate the hotels are selling for and man, was it worth... More

I have fished Mazatlan several times over the years. The first time out (ever) we set the port record for fish caught. One one occasion we caught nothing and to make matters worse, I forgot to order food or water- dumb. We slept a lot. We also have gone bottom fishing, lots of action (50+ Snappers, Sea Bass, Trigger, etc).... More

We had the pleasure of fishing with Pepes Fleet for the past three days and the fishing was spectacular! The Grupper were biting and the fun began! They are fighters! We caught not only Grupper but Snapper, Paper Fish, Rabbit Fish, just to name a few. The crew, Rooster and Alberto were fabulous! They sure knew where to drop anchor... More

On a recommendation from a previous user of Pepes Fleet, we booked a day fishing trip. We were picked up at our resort and brought to the marina. Our super panga was waiting along with Squirel and Rooster. Our crew was very good at finding fish, my husband and I landed a double header of sailfish. We had a great... More

On a cloudy day in Mazatlan we spent a great day touring around the Sea of Cortez "bottom fishing" for a variety of fish - snapper [red & white], trigger fish, paper fish and others whose names escape me ... Great ocean day, lots of wave action but no sea-sickness, no burning sun due to cloud cover and still reasonably... More
