Wow what a great experience! Hang with locals proudly supporting the Venados team. From amazing foods of all types (fresh made caramel corn, massive cookies, steaming plates of Salsichio (bbq hotdog style sausages covered in fresh lime juice and hot sauce) to ice cold beer and some of the best Tacos in town

The atmosphere at any venados game (venado means deer, and Mazatlan means land of the deer) is nothing like a major league game in the states. It is a party with music and food and drink that gets brought straight to you. Almost anything is gonna be delicious but try the sausages in hot sauce, so yummy! Also the level... More

We went to a couple of baseball games at the end of last season (late December into early January), including a playoff game and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, friendly crowd, very very affordable. If you have a mild interest in baseball or want to experience something "local", this is a great option.

If you like baseball or going to the park you need to check out the Venados baseball team. The local Mazatlan team is usually finishing up their regular season toward the end of December. Great atmosphere, lots of items to eat and drink, just a fun place to watch an outdoor game in December.

We arrived late to the game as the team website hadn't updated the start time, so the "good" seats were all sold out, but our 20 peso bleacher seats were better than some of the expensive seats at our home park! The crowd is really lively and the team was great. I'd definitely go agin, but would swing by the... More

If you really want to rub elbows with the locals, take in a baseball game. A very different experience than what you will see in North America. The caliber of the teams is quite good. Team store just outside the stadium with some great souvenirs. Inside, enjoy some unique Mexican ball park food and get a unique sense of how... More

I am not a super huge baseball fan, but when in Mazatlan I like to go to a Venados game. Tickets are cheap ($10 or so), and you can get beer and snacks, as well as food from the food court. We just take a pulmonia from our place in the golden zone. There are lots of families at the... More

Good local support of baseball. We've attended a game the last three times visiting Mazatlan. Great entertainment for the whole family.

We went to the Venador's baseball game who were playing the Tomatero's. It was a party interrupted by a baseball game. The stands were filled with dancing, cheering, baseball food and laughing. The game was played at a high level with several players with major league experience. The team website site compared it to AAA. The game went on for... More

Always a fun time cheering on the Venados. The vendors in the stands can provide anything from ice cold beer to fresh baking to keep everyone happy.
