Beautiful old European section of Mazatlan, currently undergoing major restoration of roads, walkways and buildings.

Not much to see really as they are working on construction. It will be nice when they finish. Some of the buildings remind you of Charleston, SC. Maybe it was a slow day since we were there during the week.

You must visit to fall more in love with Mazatlan. Very rich in history. Lots to see and shop. Beach areas on that side are also perfect. Beautiful scenery.

Not the best colonial area in Mexico but plenty to keep you busy for an afternoon and great for exploring. Lots of little shops and cafes to poke your head into and a couple great markets as well.

Was an educational experience to tour Old Mazatlan. Loved seeing the plaza and the older style Mexican architecture. I loved walking through the streets.

During our last trip to Mazatlan, we made at least 4 trips to Old Mazatlan, for dining and shopping. And it's a great place to brush up on your Spanish, as most of the folks on the street are not English speakers. From the Catholic...More
