- danidb518Ingleside, Texas2,909 contributionsVery long and winding road to get thereConfusing as to where to leave review, so doing it in both places (canopy tour El Eden & here). We had a private tour guide-driver for the day from where we were staying and he drove us up to this place and we got stuck twice in the loose sandy so called road. Just not for me. Small water fall, no big deal, and not worth what we went through what we did getting there to eat a late lunch. Lots of stairs. Food not cheap and cash only. The old helicopter from the Preditor movie is there to take pictures of. I would not recommend going to Eden unless you really have a day to waste and just want to say been there done that.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten May 5, 2024
- B PBozeman, Montana28 contributionsNeat place but shower if you swimThe place is very pretty with a nice waterfall and overlooking bar/restaurant. We took the horse ride up with the Manolo Ranch. Beers were the same price as in town, but be prepared food was about 100 pesos more expensive per plate than in town. Chips and salsa were free. I recommend showering with soap as soon as you get out of the water...I did not and got a very bad case of swimmers itch.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten May 21, 2024

I was super nervous and after I was done I wanted to go again. I do recommen work out gloves to hold onto the bar... but that's just for my comfort.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten August 26, 2024

Unless you are going to zipline it is a long journey over a very poor trail to get there. Upon arrival we were charged a $50mx per person fee to enter and they said if we ate in the restaurant it would be refunded. We stayed for a couple of hours, and when we left upon asking tor the entrance refund we were told sorry. So unless you are going to participate in the ziplines it is an awful ride to get there to see a very small pool of water next to the restaurant.

Terrible Very rude staff. We went with a group of 10 people. Right off the start the rude lady was asking if we have guns ,drugs, cocane , we were offended. Then they tried to argue and tell us we never paid the full admission and need to pay more if we all wanted to sit at a table. They allowed 4 of our group a table then telling us they were full and no tables were available meanwhile all the tables were mostly empty.a
As we left we tried to tell the management that is stupid on your part as if you allowed us a table we would have all purchased food and beers but because they never allowed us a place to sit and they were rude to us we never even bought a beer. Because of the rude staff we also never bought any Tequila, food, beers or a souvenir. Shame on you guys and i hope the owner of this business FIRES all of you for treating thier customers with disrespect....

I had done this zip line back in 2012, coupled with ATV trekking, and back then it was decent, a rating of 3/5 stars, but not now. The zip line had 10 lines with the eighth line the longest and fastest line of the group. They pressure you into tipping as well, and some of the staff don’t wear masks, which is a concern as you are within two feet of them as they explain the line. I had a beer with four Americans who were on the tour with me, one of which worked for the US DoD, good people. There are superior zip lines in the PV area, so research what you want to do, as El Eden is dated and very basic.

Me and my girlfriend had went on a morning boat tour and didn't want to spend the afternoon in the room. So we took a taxi to El Eden(where Predator was filmed). It was one of the many jewels on the trip. We was able to relax next to a river with a waterfall you can swim in. Also was able to enjoy one of the best seafood platters in my life for only $800pesos. We went during a slow time so it was very relaxing and just what we was looking for.

Very rushed. We paid for 13 lines of zipline and atvs. I was told we would be able to swim under the waterfall and have lunch. I'm diabetic so I had to get lunch. When we arrived they told us we only had 40 minutes there and so I could do 5 lines and have lunch which is what we did. Still did not have time to swim. Atvs were fine. Highway was dangerous and they keep you in a single line so not much freedom In speed. Beautiful views which is why I gave it 2 stars, I just wish we had time to enjoy them. Waste of time and money. 10-31-2020

The experience was frustrating to say the least… I tried to contact them for almost 10 days, as I wanted to take a larger group. The website does not work, and all the contact methods they have listed don’t work either. I tried to call, send messages via FB and Whatsapp, all without success. Don’t waste your time…

Wow! This place has changed since my husband and I were there in May 1987 on our honeymoon! We had rented a jeep for exploring and literally came across this place as we traveled through the jungle. We came to a sign and a very battered helicopter saying Arnold had finished filming a movie there, so exciting! Later, back home, a movie came out called Predator. Awesome! We went to the restaurant (guess it was El Eden) and I remember thinking it was a once in a lifetime experience. When would I ever eat in a jungle again with monkeys jumping around!! Everything looks so commercialized now, but I definitely would recommend a visit☺.
PS. Just read this place has closed. Such great memories.

If you fancy a good day out then give this a try , I was a bit nervous myself but it was my partner’s birthday & that’s what he wanted to do , we had a little issue with them forgetting to pick us up from the pick up point ( not sure if this was the company we booked with or El Eden , everyone else had been picked up from their pick up location) but we managed to get sorted & it didn’t spoil the day , our driver was fantastic such a lovely funny friendly guy , the journey on the road that leads to El Eden is very bumpy so if your travel sick then take something before, the place itself is beautiful with mountains & waterfalls. The guys that took us round the zip lines were very professional & explained what was going to happen & what to expect, after doing the first line my nerves completely went & I really enjoyed it , my partner had a little accident due to spinning round & landing the wrong way round but he was fine after , little tip if u start spinning round then cross your ankles ( it worked for me ) , we did only do 9 lines which we were told 11/12 but it was still worth it , you get an hour to yourself after to go for a walk /swim or have food/drink . You will definitely need bug spray & try & get the wristband ( wrist & ankles) it so humid that you sweat so much we think we actually sweated the spray off . So after that you are taken for tequila tasting, now I’m not a big fan but it was so different to what we had tasted before & they tell you all about the history & making of tequila. We had a long journey back to our hotel but our driver did check if we needed to stop for anything, our driver had taken a few photos of us & when I looked at them later they made me chuckle, he had taken a few pics of himself, cheeky but I loved it , a lovely end to a fantastic day

The Zipline experience was fun and safe but was more of a walk and less time than others we have done in Puerto Vallarta and Hawaii. This took one hour and then we had one hour to swim in a waterfall which was very nice. The drive to the ziplines took almost two hours each way from Nuevo Vallarta (would be like 1 hour if you stay in Puerto Vallarta). This long, bumpy drive and the unadvertised stop at a tequilera for an hour were big cons for our party. We would do another company next time because we lived in Nuevo Vallarta and our party does not drink. Good price...
