Wonderful place, but be careful when you pay your restaurant bill by credit card. 1. They add up 5% to your bill automatically. 2. Verify your charge with a little piece of paper what you ordered and what is the charge in Pesos on your credit card. 3. You need to do all that at least 1 hour before your boat leaves on time. When I try to pay 1/2 hour before leaving the pier, internet was off. Then 5 minutes before our departure I received my card, terminal for my pin verification. Didn't check total which was MORE THEN DOUBLE. My strong suggestion, pay only in CASH.…

This Bay stretches 62 miles on the West Coast of Mexico and in the heart of it is Puerto Vallarta. Your cruise ship docks Near Nuvo Vallarta. From there a short cab or van or local bus ride you are in the heart of town. You can see a good amount of the bay from the Malecone which is a very nice walkway along the coast. There are many activities including shopping, art walks, dinning, scuba, snorkeling, kayaking and much more that you can take advantage of. The most popular beach is Los Muertos which is a 15 minute ride from your cruise ship. Hotels are many, old town and the Romantic zone are popular. We always feel safe here. American money works all over.…

We took the Bahia Allegre catamaran for a day in the Bay. The crew was the best!!! Safety first, and alot of fun. They offered breakfast, lunch and drinks. Alcohol was only available after we were done with all the activities. They included: snorkeling, Kayaking, paddle board, and swimming. All of that in the clean and beautiful water of the Bandera Bay. We saw dolphins and on the way back we saw a whale!!! Majestic, unforggetable time. There 12 in our group, ages 8 to 58, and we all had a wonderful time. Hats off to Luis and the lifeguard with 30 year experience on board. They were top notch, highly recommend this company.…

Took a taxi from our Hotel the Riu Palace Pacifico to a nearby hotel to complete a quick refresher for Scuba diving as I haven’t dived for a few years. After I finished Ana suggested saving the taxi fare and walk back on the beach, which I did, the sea is particularly warm and it was a pleasant 40 minute walk I did get stopped quite a few times for flower sellers, souvenirs cigars and massages, but they were all fine only had to say no once and they carried on their way the sand is quite soft underfoot so does make it difficult to walk sometimes…
