Not a tourist spot. This is how Latin Americans live... the plaza is the center of village/town life. Lots of local color and flavor. Teenagers making out. Couples and their kids sitting around, watching the entertainment, having an ice cream or some tacos. Highly recommended to see, even if you just keep on walking.

Sitting between the Malecon and Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe church, it's worth a visit. Daytime there are a variety of food and craft vendors and usually a live performance or two happening, at night the focus is very much on foods, and the area is very pretty lit up.

This place faces the cathedral. Lots going on. We saw two weddings over the week we were in town. No tourist establishments in the area, just offices facing the plaza

Very typical Mexico. Main plaza where people collect and rest under the shade. Were there during Dia de los Muertos and lots of displays and activity. Don't miss the church nearby. Recommend.

Beautiful plaza, with plenty of seating, located not far from the church of Guadalupe. Really enjoyable to sit here and watch the city work with plenty of shade to escape the hot sun. Definitely worth taking half hour to sit and enjoy this space.

Stunning architecture, culture and friendly locals made this outing one we'll never forget. There were street performers, street vendors, shops, and all kinds of things to see!

Its name says what its place implies for the Vallartenses- the Principal Square. You will note the early morning crowd who clean their storefront, the police directing traffic and those going to government and private lawyer offices moving along smartly. Later in the morning and early afternoon you will also see the tourists strolling along so that street vendors can... More

All towns, cities etc in Mexico have plazas and this one is great. Lots of activity and on sunday nights really busy. You must visit the plaza each place you go and in PV the malecon as well.

Make sure you stop by and get a picture of this on your trip down the boardwalk. It is one of many things you can see while enjoying. Stroll along the boardwalk.

Went at 7pm on Sunday to dance. Live mexican music was good. A lot of people. However could not find any single men to dance with and danced with group of women instead. I love latino dancing and was disappointed with a lack of men. One old rude man started texting on the phone while dancing with me. Never've seen... More
