This romantic statue named after the world-famous film stars and lovers Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton, is located in the heart of Gringo Gulch, by the entrance to The Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar in Casa Kimberly, which was once their home.
Called “Los Amanté’s” or "The Lovers" in English, this life-size bronze statue was made by the father-daughter team, Jim Demetro & Christina Demetro, and was inspired by the couples much-publicized and infamous affair, which earned them the title of the most recognized lovers of the 1960.
The Statue was unveiled during a massive celebration on November 28, 2015. with a mariachi band playing on the dividing bridge, a splendid dinner along with all the trappings and trimmings, of a grand affair!
There is no parking so take a cab, but do make a reservation as the view of the Sunset from here is magnificent. (And very popular)

TIP: You can only take a photo when the Bar is open as the statue is behind security gate.
