Clean and family friendly

This was the cleanest city in Mexico that I have visited. Definitely family friendly. The boardwalk has a lot to see and a lot of restaurants and bars.

There are lots sculptures and sometimes sand castles along the walk. Its an iconic piece of roadway being features in movies like Limitless. Señor Frogs is near there too. Basically the title say it all with lots of shopping, eating, drinking, watching opportunities all over.

My wife who was born in Vallarta and myself have both enjoyed the malecon boardwalk immensely more since they switched it to a 100% pedestrian a few years ago! The amazing art exhibition along the ocean side (west) Contrast's with the store's and vendors along the way to the los Arco's Colosseum type theatre by the naval museum. As you... More

It is a must visit when in Puerto Vallarta as the experience is worth it!! Some very imaginative buskers. If you are looking for a great meal hit Una Familia either on the Malecon or the original site in old Vallarta. You won't be disappointed.

This is a fun long walk along the beach with lots to see. Each night we saw different performances at the amphitheater (one night a school concert, the next some comedians), plenty of locals walking around and tourists with everything from a busy, loud senor frogs or 10, and some quieter nicer places slightly further north. Each night we found... More

Right along the pacific beach in the downtown heart of old Puerto Vallarta is this long stretch of beauty with a fresh breeze of ocean air. Lots of shops, professional sand sculptures, metal sculptures, and well attired photo-op actors, ready for that great photo with you in it. Lots of live entertainment, at least on the weekends. There is an... More

There's dance clubs, art galleries, street performers, and fireworks at sunset. What more could you want? Guys that climb a giant pole and play music while dressed in costume? You got it! Go for a walk here day or night and you will have a good time.

The wide, shoreline walkway is a people-watchers' treat. Duck into a shop, and you may find it to be part of a warren of stalls filled with bright delights. Refresh with a margarita when it gets warm, and you're golden.
