Lovely relaxed boat ride through the jungle. Great for bird watching, alligator sightings, and lush, spectacular scenery. The cantina and fresh water swimming hole made for a refreshing stop-off. Would do this again - but be sure to wear lots of bug spray!

My brother never forgets this river experience. Bird life alone makes it worth it, but funky turtles and ferocious huge alligators, it's a must do.

We drove to San Blas for 3 days to explore nature: the tremendous variety of birds the area is internationally famed for as well as other neotropical critters and plants. Our #1 must-see was the river that meanders its way into La Tovara National Park....More

When visiting in the San Blas, it is highly advisable to take a boat ride through the estuary and mango swamps just south of town at La Tovara. This is excellent for bird watchers as there are many migratory birds passing through the area all...More
