A magnificent tour to Valle de Bravo as a family.

We went up to Cerro de la Cruz, from there we could appreciate Valle de Bravo, my sisters and I launched from a paraglider.

We visit the Parish Church of San Francisco de Asís, dating from the 16th century, and the Chapel of Santa María, which houses the Black Christ, who is a miraculous saint.

Then we went to the Velo de Novia Waterfall, the guide explained that it has a 35-meter waterfall and is surrounded by a green forest. We were able to practice mountain biking with the whole family. We also went to the Río del Molino Waterfall, upon arrival we had a picnic.
The adventure was incredible, I loved it. 🤩👍🏻

We stayed a week in Valle de Bravo during mid-February 2015. We had traveled there primarily to visit the nearby butterfly sanctuary, Piedra Herrada. We stayed in a vacation rental, high above the town with an incredible view of Lake Arandado and the Town below. Valle (as it is affectionately called) received the designation of Pueblo Magico, which it rightly deserves. It is spread out on hills surrounding the above mentioned lake. Its white and red buildings and cobblestone streets are very reminescent of other pueblo magicos visited in the past, but it has many more attractions to keep visitors entertained for more than a few hours. There is an abundance of top quality restaurants and lodging choices. It is a get-away location for Mexico City's wealthy, whose houses cover the hills surrounding the Lake. We really suggest taking a boat ride on the Lake, in order to get a complete feel for the town. In our opinion, its only downside is the traffic; its was not designed for the amount of traffic it experiences daily.

I was impressed about how near is this town from Mexico City, you can make a 2 hrs travel and very well signed, impossible to get lost. Once there, many options to get fun, razers cars (4x4), parachute, rappel, etc. Don't forget to visit the local dock where other options are available such as a local ferry and jet ski trips for couples and/or little groups. I simply loved downtown, the church, the local environment, Cafe's and restaurants. Hope to be back soon and stay at least one night. Watch out of "vados" (fords, little dips across the street to get slow cars) especially during the night. A must visit in my opinion

Valle de Bravo is denominated a magic town in Mexico, all the town has a colonial environment, the food is really good in almost all the restaurants there, I advise you to eat near to the lake. The town is perfect if you want to walk and get involved with the mexican culture. Valle de Bravo is also known for parachuting places.

This place is excellent for a week end, specially if you are interested in ecotourism and sports in a natural environment.
Recommended to take the boat to visit the lake, and eat in "Los Pericos" restaurant .

I’ve been in Valle de Bravo so many times and I love doing outdoor sports activities.
We went for a ride on mountain bike with La Rueda y el Pedal... amazing activity!!!!

I did not expect such a cute lake with a nice typical Mexican village. There are lots of restaurants and bars around the village where you can have fantastic food. The main square invites to sit there and watch the people. There are several boat restaurants. Will definitely go back there again.

The town is located close to México City, famous for its lake, nature and being one of the best options for paragliding worlwide. Good place to go for the weekend.

If you come from another country and you're looking for the so called "pueblos magicos" or magic towns this is one but not the nicest to visit, I will recommend go other ones like taxco, San Miguel, or others. But if you live in Mexico City and want a place to relax and chill then this is a great place to be.

I took this trip on a whim since I needed to get away for the weekend and just relax, again. Once i got there I couldn't believe my eyes. If you want to get away from the big city whether your from Mexico or the States you have to check this place out. As the bus enters the town you get a look at the beautiful lake that surrounds the town and the Spanish colonial architecture houses that are all around. The wholed trip I was amazed at how this town has not been influenced by the most modern Advances in technology and building constructions. Yeah there's new construction but I didn't bother looking at it. Every street is made of stone and will probably still be there after all the concrete streets of the most modern city's reconstruct again. If you you want to travel back in time and enjoy old school atmosphere this is the place. If you stay at any hotel pay cash and pesos. They try to screw you on the exchange rate. Just my opinion. Take the ferry trip that takes you around the lake and velo the novia you will be amazed. I will returned again on a whim another day. Don't forget to go to el callejon de tacos de hambres..don't mind all the cars in the town.
