If you are in Cuernavaca do not miss the Brady Museum. Robert Brady over his lifetime accumulated an impressive art collection, not just of Mexico. The house is kept as he left it upon his death. (he is buried in the garden with his favorite dogs). The art is amazing but the ambiance set by him is magical. As a... More

We arrived here by chance and decided to go in since we didn't have much to do. It was worth it. It's a nice house with some history, some spaces (common areas and bathrooms) reminded me of the style of Dali's house in Spain.

The house itself is a work of art. Then it is filled with over 1300 pieces of art from around the world. Brady's own paintings are remarkable. This is as fine a museum (big or small) as you will find anywhere in the world. It's not just a place where art is collected and displayed, but where each piece has... More

I just went yesterday. Mr. Brady's house is gorgeous. The house is kept as if he were still living there and the collection is impressive. Figures, statuettes, utenlsils, paintings and furniture from so many places and times decorate all the walls, and there 's even an original Kahlo (on loan now). The house is so well located and the premises... More

Nice art, nice colors all over, very eccentric reflecting the former owner. Nice staff--they give you space to walk around and take pictures. NO flash. Do not expect a souvenir store, but the place is nice.

Is it primarily an art museum that shows us how art from all around the globe represents the similarities of our humanity? Or is it a glimpse into a lifestyle of the 60' - 70's jet set? Either way, it is a wonderful way to spend some time in Cuernavaca!

If you happen to be in Cuernavaca, Mexico, visit the Robert Brady Museum, located in the city next to the beautiful 16th century Cathedral. This museum is a real house with 14 different rooms. It was the home of Mr. Brady, American artist and house decorator that died in1986. It takes time to admire each little tapestry, painting, ceramic, etc... More

This a small museum, but it is not to measure it for its length, but its contents. It contains an important private collecton of paintings and artifacts, tons of museums would die for. The location as well will give you the typicall environment of a downtown old house,
