lovely frescoes by Orozco

The best place to see incredible frescoes by Orozco. Apart from the frescoes there is not much to be seen!

Yes, the Orozco murals are stunning. But I really enjoyed the two other big, changing exhibits and there were very few people at them. The museum area is very peaceful and great for a break from the busy city. I'm glad we didn't miss it. Need to check backpacks and pay an additional couple dollars if you want to take... More

I'm not so much of an art lover but that might be changing. This old orphanage/church building from years ago is the site of the coolest, darkest art I've ever seen or heard about. Seriously! It's not to be missed! Get a guide to explain it all to you once inside. It could open up a whole new world for... More

If you're a fan of art, this place is a great attraction for you! The murals are breathtaking! Ruben is a great tour leader, his English is very good and he knows the ins and outs of the place since he wrote the book on it!

This is kind of mexican history educative. This has got most of collections of history of mexico along with great paintings explaining about mexico's history in it. Paintings at the roof top are really great. It has great collections all about mexico. Good for history lovers.

...this attraction, if you have any interest or understanding of Mexican history and culture. Orozco is incredibly passionate, and has interesting opinions. Be sure to view his masterpiece,"Man on Fire," from several angles, and you will see one person appear, then disappear. I have no idea of how he does it.

Visiting this attraction has been the highlight of our trip to Guadalajara. The Instituto has exquisite Orozco murals. Additionally, we were fortunate to see a powerful exhibit about Pedro Ramirez Vazquez. He specialized in designing museums all over the world but was immensely talented and a visionary. He not only designed museums like the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City... More
