The Palacio de Gobierno, which houses state government offices, was finished in 1774. It’s open to the public – just walk in – and it’s well worth stopping by, mainly due to two impressive socialist realist murals by local artist José Clemente Orozco (1883–1949). The...More

The Orozco murals were absolutely amazing. There were no more tours for the day when I got there, which would likely have been more interesting but it was still a nice time. We kept going back to the mural in the stairwell, noticing different things...More

Not too many governmental office are usually this accessible. The artwork and historical information is quite informative. My wife and I enjoyed poking around for a couple hours here. Clean restrooms, staff is friendly, and photo ops are plentiful.

Orozco masterpiece murals! Spectacular. Two Quinceañeras appeared within the grand staircase and colonades and created a fantasy vision within the Palace.

My wife and I were able to tour the Palacio and enjoyed every minute. You need to register and then go to where the Murals of Orosco are located. Do not miss this.

Like most historical buildings in Mexico, this one has a very majestic, yet relaxing vibe. Orozco murals are a must see. You can enter the "congress" chamber.

This is just a great place to take a walk and take some nice pictures in a Historic area. Current construction is a bit distracting but it is still very nice.

It is an historic place, a beautiful building and inside with Jose Clemente Orozco paints in the stairs and in the chambers. Really vale the worst to visit it.

At a glance, there is nothing particularly interesting about this building. It's seems like a typical city palace. However as you walk up the main stairs all of your attention is grabbed by a huge mural on the ceiling, a stunning, yet powerful painting about...More
