What excellent urban planning. Perfect place for people watching while admiring the cathedral on one end, the opera house on the other, and beautiful Spanish colonial buildings on both sides.

You are at the center of GDL and can be the base to where to organize your walking tours. Alot of action.

The plaza was great if you want you could just sit and soak up the surroundings and the people. Great place just to stroll around.

With the comfortable weather this is a nice outdoor walking or people watching area. Parking is underground which preserves the walk around atmosphere. Several street vendors and many area shops and restaurants available.

Since much of downtown Guadalajara is currently (Jan. 2017) dug up to make way for a new subway line, this plaza is one of the few places left unscathed. I was there on the weekend and walked all the way to the Instituto Cultural Cabanas...More
