One of the major churches in Guadalajara, this one is the most iconic of the municipality of Zapopan, surrounded by gardens and the government main office is a must visit point in the city.

If you have little time in Guadalajara, time your visit to that you can take a 20-25 minute cab drive form the centre. The good thing is that the Basilica opens at 8am and is open until 8pm when they celebrate the last mass.I was...More

What a church. Incredibly beautiful. We walked inside and then around the courtyard. We ate at a local restaurant that was authentic Mexican cuisine. Put it on the list of things to see in the region

While most people visit the main cathedral in Guadalajara, this old basilica offers a unique colonial experience in the downtown. Fewer people means a more intimate experience and I enjoyed resting in the shade outside on the grounds.
