This was an interesting place to visit. I enjoyed many of the displays but English speaking visitors should be aware that there is no English language translation for any of the exhibits. It's quite a quick visit - there really isn't much in here. I...More

This building holds so much history (site of the first major rebel victory in Mexico's War of Independence, and other historic artifacts are displayed), and you can enter and explore for hours if you’d like, for 52 pesos, if I remember correctly. There are panels...More

Not a family friendly site and price excessive due to poor collection to show. Besides there are no ramps for strollers

This building was a focal point for the bloodied struggle for Mexican independence. A printed English guide, available at the ticket office, had good basic descriptions of each room and was essential for me to understand the relevance of the various exhibits. Take the time...More

Sadly, this was probably also the location of one of the most shameful chapters in Mexican history. It probably set back Mexico's independence years when an out of control mob decapitated and murdered helpless women and children. After they broke into this building, which translated...More

This museum has LOTS of interesting history to it. I unfortunately had to rush through most of it and didn't even get to see all of it. Be aware that during the week lots of schools take trips, so it'll be packed.
