This 17th century grand hacienda (in its day) was owned by Captain Gabriel de Berrera. An heir to the Valenciana Silver Mine wealth. The surrounding gardens and structures within the extensive compound are truly impressive but in need of additional restoration. Even though it is...More

We took an Uber from the historic district to the Museo. The house itself is old and the furniture really old. It was all sort of dusty looking and not appealing, but amazing to know how old it all was. The gardens and grounds themselves...More

After 3 days of exploring the sights of Guanajuato city we were looking for a slightly different experience and this fit the bill nicely. We took a taxi from the city centre...fare was only 40 pesos. Entrance fees were 30 pesos per person plus 25...More

The museo is a wonderful escape from the city. In March it was lush and shaded. It's most comparable to a botanic garden, but the old buildings from the estate add a unique flavor. Don't forget to bring your camera - there's plenty of photo...More

This historic 18th century hacienda and adjoining gardens were built by one of the city's colonial silver barons, and is worthwhile visit while in Guanajuato. The hacienda offers a look into the past and the surrounding gardens are well maintained. There's also a nice outdoor...More

This place is so beautiful. Make sure you take good walking shoes because it's huge. We got there at 5pm and I believe they close at 6pm so we didn't get to see half of it. Make sure you give yourself at least two hours...More

We did this tour with Sergio, a guide from Plaza Union. Would not have been near as interesting and educational without him. Learned much about the history and methods of mining in GTO. In addition the gardens were well kept and architecture was typical and...More

Lovely, tranquil, totally deserted when I was there, lots of lovely gardens to amble through and benches to rest upon.

Very pretty site to visit, but could use some better signage or a map to help navigate the area. It will take about 1 hr if you want to stop and take pictures, plus peek at the small museum. They charge a camera fee, though,...More

My son has been twice and Carlos was there both times. We were the only visitors when I went. I want to emphasize that there is no cost for the tour and the guide is dependent on tips.

Carlos speaks excellent English. Perhaps your hotel can call for you and get the information you wish. And reserve Carlos for you.
