We visited this place hoping to learn about the history of the mummies, the process in which they're mummified etc, but nothing. The tour is in Spanish, so not ideal for English speakers. None of the bodies are wrapped, but their detail is amazing, lots...More

Since the mummies are something Guanajuato is known for it really is worth stopping here for something completely unique. I probably won't go here a second time and I really wish the tour would have had and English option but you really don't need to...More

I would advise people to read the reason this museum exists before visiting. These are people mainly from the 1900's. We went on a saturday and the line was extremely long, maybe a 45 minute wait. It is difficult to linger at exhibits are there...More

It was like I walked into the set of the Walking Dead. I had no idea that the mummies were modern era people that died in the area. I suggest researching the story of the museum a little before you visit to give you perspective....More

Everyone should visit at least once. It really helps one understand the culture in Mexico as it relates to death. I didn't truly understand Día de Los Muertos until I visited this museum.

The Momias museum can easily be done using the local bus. It is an interesting place with the mummies 'frozen in time' and look very real including the infant mummies!

this is the number one tourist attraction sit in the city. although it is not for me I do take guests there, I wait outside, and they are fascinated. The lines getting in can be long especially on big holidays and at vacation times.

I am not sure if they have guides, we did not use one and I can't remember seeing one, but every Mummy has information next to it. The place is not that big. You can probably see everything in 1.5 to 2 hours max, that is if... More
