This is definitely a hidden pearl in the city! If you are in need of some time away from the noise and crowds of people, half an hour here will clean up your thoughts.

A new-looking path from the Museo del Sitio y Centro de Visitantes, passing the Dirección del Bosque de Chapultepec (park headquarters), will get you quickly from the Chapultepec Metro station to this wonderful spot. It's tucked into a wooded nook, surrounded by speakers that play peaceful music, with benches that force you to lie back. A reading table has books to borrow. It's just a few minutes' walk from the history museum. Come relax and get used to being away from traffic, in a huge park!

Set up as a refuge for lovers of reading, its found behind the Monumental Tribune. Dont fret if you don’t have a book to read, there is a table laden with an esoteric mixture to borrow. I thought the cave of Cincalco is something special not to miss as it had supernatural significance to the Toltec peoples. If you are good at spotting things uncharted, find the secret steps used as a bolt hole for the Emperor Maximilian & Empress Carlotta to take the air to and from the castle. Classical music adds to the serendipitous good-feel.

This is one of my favourite spots in Chapultepec Park, after a busy day it is great to sit and unwind, listening to the music or reading a book.
